Kelsey Balch

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with nearly 10 years of post-graduate experience. I have focused my career in community mental health while working in several school districts as a therapist, lead clinician, and school-based supervisor. I enjoy working with children and families to help kids learn about their feelings and connect with their caregivers. I also have experience working with adults. I have experience in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, behavioral issues, grief, and life stressors. It can be a difficult decision to start therapy. I believe in meeting my clients where they are at emotionally while offering empathy, support, and a non-judgmental approach.

I incorporate person-centered, solution-focused, and strengths-based techniques while utilizing evidenced based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and family systems theory. I participate in several task force groups and committees promoting quality behavioral health services in schools and community.  It is a privilege to be there for you as a therapist and I look forward to meeting you!
